Care For You provides quality health services at home as well as home based care for ill
and acute patients in the Vaal Community.
We aim to assist in restoring and maintaining people’s health standards and way of living by providing health services, support, self-care and health education at home.
Our team consists of 2 trained sisters and 5 care givers. We offer daily home based visits to patients who are in the acute phase of illness.
The aim is to stabilize the patient and with offering continue support. We assist patients and family with the following: *Exercise *Bed Bathing *Feeding, supervising and monitoring prescribed medications as well as recording.
Performing specific nursing procedures such as caring for patients back and pressure parts, turning techniques, indwelling catheter care and recording of vital signs. Maintenance of infection control principles. Training and health education to the family members of the households with HIV/AIDS that we visit, Counseling and support for patients.Care For You is a project within Delta Community Centre. It is dedicated to meet the needs of the elderly and disabled community. If other needs are identified within the households that we visit, we then refer them to relevant resources.
